Plant Maintenance & Facility Manager

Role & responsibilities
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.Ensure high equipment uptime, reliability, and smooth plant operations.Monitor equipment performance and drive improvements to minimize breakdowns.Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with production teams.Manage plant assets, equipment lifecycle, and maintenance documentation.Recommend equipment upgrades, modifications, and replacements as required.Ensure compliance with HSE, statutory, and company safety standards.Implement LOTO procedures and safe maintenance practices.Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.Oversee maintenance of utilities including electrical systems, compressors, HVAC, water treatment, DG sets, and fire protection systems.Ensure continuous availability of utilities to support production.Prepare and manage maintenance budgets while controlling costs.Optimize spare parts inventory and monitor vendor performance and service contracts.
Preferred candidate profile
Candidates with proven experience in managerial roles within Manufacturing, Automobile, or High-Volume Production environments, demonstrating strong expertise in plant maintenance, equipment reliability, team leadership, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in managing maintenance operations across large-scale production facilities will be highly preferred.

About company Ashok Leyland (UAE) LLC is a subsidiary of Ashok Leyland Ltd, and is based in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), United Arab Emirates. The plant has been recognized with MENA Stevie Awards for Manufacturing Excellence, and Environmental Performance Certificate from the UAE Ministry of Environment and water, towards the plants efforts in driving sustainable environmental practices. The buses manufactured in the plant cater to the school and staff transportation requirements of the GCC region and also support project requirements in African markets. Proximity of the RAK plant to the target markets and customers, constant focus on safety, fits and finish, quality and delivery, combined with fast customization, has enabled Ashok Leyland to increase its market share in addressable segments to over 50% in the GCC region.
